PRogressive Health was born on February 2, 2008. It started as a requirement of a course I took while a college student, Public Relations Online Tactics. The course familiarized me with the communication tools that are changing the way the world operates and public relations professionals communicate. It taught me how to write for online audiences and use online media and resources in public relations strategy.
The primary theme of this blog is children’s health and safety; a topic that interests many people and is relevant to everyone.
My posts will detail my opinions as a parent and public relations professional*. This blog will let you peek into my mind, offering insight on my experience as a mom and PR specialist.
*In the blog’s infancy, posts were primarily tied to professional public relations issues, but as time went on, I began getting requests from readers about topics they wanted to read. I now write posts that have relation to popular news topics (sometimes connected to celebrity matters) that are in some way connected to children and young adults, and therefore will directly correlate with frequency.
